Bamenda: CSM trains young journalist on honorable journalistic practices

Community Solutions Media, CSM,  has on Saturday 16th April 2022, brought together over 20 young journalists ranging from the ages of 18 to 28 for a one-day workshop which took place at Blue Pearl Hotel, Nkwen Bamenda. The workshop saw these young journalists gain knowledge on hate speech, reporting child abuse and child protection issues in conflicts, fake news, countering fake news, understanding gender, GBV reporting in conflicts, and other internet vices. While talking about "Becoming a successful and Independent Journalist" SAH Terence Animbom the CEO and founder of CSM stated that, a successful and independent journalist should be persistent, consistent, and follow the ethics of journalism. FECAFOOT Northwest has on Saturday 9 April had an extraordinary session to vote in a delegate to replace Facafoot president for Northwest Bigha Felix At the national assembly who gave up his position as a delegate to join the national executive bureau of FECAFOOT. The stallions of Burkina Faso have threatened to boycott the opening  match of the African Cup Of Nations(AFCON) with the indomitable Lions of Cameroon.   This decision is said to be made after five players of the team tested positive for the Covid-19 virus. The stallions of Burkina Faso have threatened to boycott the opening  match of the African Cup Of Nations(AFCON) with the indomitable Lions of Cameroon.   This decision is said to be made after five players of the team tested positive for the virus. According to Dash News the countries minister of Sports , Mathias Tankoano has said his players will pack out if the confideration of African Football (CAF) does not conduct a second Covid 19 test on his players   Medics of the host country are suspected to have altered the Covid 19 results of their players. 

Bamenda II council adopts 2022 budget with people-centered projects earmarked

The mayor of Bamenda II council, Chenwi Peter has alongside the councilors of his municipality on Thursday, December 23rd at Ayaba hotel voted the 2022 budget of the council with revenue and expenditure amounting at 1.8 billion F CFA. Having had an increment of 200 million FCFA this budget will be used to develop the municipality, provide for its denizens as well as create employment. To the mayor, being aware that ways of raising income will not be easy, he intends to purchase equipment for road construction which will be available for renting and the building of low-cost houses that will also serve as a means of raising income for the municipality. UBa: Final year students of CADS gain knowledge on blogging

        CADS final year students in                         session Over 60 final year students of the department of Communication and Development Studies have today December 3rd 2021 gained knowledge on blogging.  The one day workshop held at PBA 05 was facilitated by UBa Voice radio operator Ngongsong Jean Marie.  This saw strudent through a learning session on the steps involved blog creation and how to manage their blogs. Former CAF President Issa Hayatou receives one year ban.

The former president of the confederation of African football Issa Hayatou has been banned from taking part in any football activity by the world football governing body FIFA. This decision was made public on Tuesday 3rd August after he was found guilty of the role he played in the 1 billion dollars tv and marketing rights deal with France's Lagardere Sports.       FIFA said that said it's adjudicatory chamber of the independent ethics committee has found Hayatou responsible for breaching the role concerning commercialization of media and marketing rights of competions organized by CAF in 2014 and 2017. " in its decision, following an extensive hearing, the adjudicatory chamber ruled that based on information gathered by the investigatory chamber Mr Hayatou has breached his duty of loyalty in his position as CAF president".  FIFA said.       The Cameroonian was a long time  Vice president of FIFA and a one time interim president for FIFA for four months before th
