Elite One; PWD secures three points through Mael, Joel.





PWD Bamenda social football club have secured three points after defeating Dragon FC of Yaounde 3 goals to 0  on day 14 of the Cameroon Elite One football. This was in a match played at the YOSA arena  at mile 6 Nkwen on Wednesday july 14 2021.

the Abakwa boys took advantage of the favorable weather condition along side playing on home ground and  sent three goals into the nets of the visiting team. The boys of coach David Pagou and Max Makole started the match with tension as there were efforts made as to who will have the first goal.

Then Mael Dindjeke in the 25th minute was able to score the first goal which was followed by another in the 50th minute.

The first two goals seemed to have held the luck of Dragon players, then Boung Joel Ondoua through a well placed assist from Aboubakar Mohamed found the net of Dragon. Worth applauding is the fact that all three goals were scored through headers.

According the Dragon FC’s couch, Max Makole, his team was not present for the match. “ What can I say…we took three goals by some tactical errors we were very absent in this match”. And when asked if the state of the field contributed to the output of his team, “ very bad field, it did not give us the chance to play like the home team. We don’t have the same manner of play” he said.

Mael Dinjeke scoring these two goals  has earned for himself the man of the match caption according to PWD management.Coach David Pagou says this match was a good one"

This game was a bounce back to the Abakwa boys after a 2-1 loss to AS Fortuna last in their 13th day of play in Yaounde.

The Abakwa boy are exempted from the 15th day of play which will be on july 16th 2021. Their next match is scheduled for july 19 2021.
